Stop Piracy

A: Come, let's set up a research company. We will do research and since research is search and search, no one can judge if we produce good results or not. Muahaha. Isn't it a brillant idea?
B: But who will fund it?
A: The public of course!

Years later...

B: Boss, it's been years already and still we have produced nothing significant. I'm afraid we have to show something to the public.
A: Hmmmm... If that's the case, let's show them our latest invention. Our Pixellated curtain. It looks just like the jungle and when the birds land near the window, they will feel at ease.
B: Wow, awesome! But i thought our American brothers are already using them now?
A: Ya, so?
B: Won't it be like copying wholesale? Shouldn't we like change a little bit?
A: What copy? Don ever use that word. Makes us look bad. It is using something that has been proven already.
B: I know, but shouldn't we like modify it a bit? Just taking it totally isn't it piracy?
A: Hey, watch what you are saying! What piracy? I am an anti-piracy person. Piracy is like you take a video camera and go into the cinema and record illegally. Then you produce it, it is called piracy. But if you see a Japanese advertisement with a kid drawing jig-saw puzzle and you think it's a good idea and you produce your own one, it is perfectly ok.
B: But we are still producing the same curtain designs. Where is our input?
A: See, the americans do not have the "Made in Singapore" label. If we add that in, that will be our input. Not piracy anymore. Understand? Just go and do it...
